Consuming Beauty
The piece addresses the way of life of a woman in the Victorian age by her clothing. The work seeks to draw a relation between a woman’s rights in society in the Victorian era and her clothing during the time. It circles around the issues faced by women in these years so much so that they extended even to her clothing. Women are seen as delicate, fragile beauties. This piece of work is a flower vase, the flower being the metaphor for a woman.
