Can traditional art survive the modern world????

Can traditional art survive the modern world???
This question came in my mind after attending today's lecture.
Today world is moving too fast. The way of living and thinking has modernized.
In the world of fashion, new forms, new textiles, new color's such as neon's are arriving.
Today's Man is running towards modernization.
But what about the traditional???
What about the lost cultures? what about the lost art?
Should we preserve it??or should we develop it?
What I think ,
We should develop it,but it shouldn't lose its originality.
While researching for a course last year I visited "YEOLA" a place where "PAITHANIES" are made.
Paithanies are "traditional sarees" known for there broad but delicate borders and motifs.
Each saree takes at least minimum 3 years to complete. The price range starts from 2000 to 3 lakhs and more. The traditional paithanies were made out of real gold and silver threads.
What i found out was the weavers have not only given a modern touch to the sarees but have still maintained its authenticity. The demand of these sarees have increased consequently as a result of these change.

The photos to the left are the new version/developed version of traditional
Paithani sarees known as designer paithanies.

So, Can traditional art survive the modern world???
The traditional art can, not just survive, but survive with pride and dignity in this modern world.
